Vehicles
All fleet vehicles operated by Intacab are owned by the company. Where necessary they are also licensed either by the Local Authority or the Traffic Commissioners.
All vehicles are white and clearly marked with the company logo.
Maintenance is carried out by our own fully qualified personnel at regular mileage intervals, or, to the manufacturer's specifications, whichever is the earlier. Only manufacturers supplied replacement parts are used.
All equipment and systems in use are at least to 1985 Department of Transport testing regulations. Vehicles are also subject to extra spot checks by Local Authority officers, and/or police, over and above any yearly MOT checks.
All vehicles have unlimited range for both, national, or international journeys, plus, there is always contact with base either by mobile telephone or by radio.
The current fleet is comprised of Vauxhall Vectra soloons / estates, Mini-Buses and Transit style vans, all registered within the past three years. Unmarked vehicles are also available by prior booking.
There are also two specialist vehicles that have wheelchair access.
The company has the financial resources to vary and expand the fleet according to the requirements of either individual customers, or a general increase in business.
Intacab has qualified personnel who are currently operating booking / invoicing computerised systems; there operatives would also have the ability to contend with any individual customer links for the logistical movements of their goods and personnel.
Drivers
The following criteria must be met by any driver before being accepted for duty:
- They must have held a full driving licence for at least three years, and not have more than three points for speeding or parking only.
- They must be 25 years and 65 years old, and have no major accidents within the past five years.
- No drink or drugs offences at any time.
- References will be required from previous employers, and from a person of good social standing.
- A CRB search by the CRB Bureau and/or the Local Authority is also required.
